Miami parks get used early and late because of the heat. Playgrounds and dog parks are in the neighborhoods; camping is inland or down the coast.
Look for shade first. The playgrounds people actually use in the warm months have covers or mature trees, and the visit is morning, not noon.
Fenced dog parks are a better bet than the beach, where dogs are often restricted. Bring water; pavement and turf both heat up.
Camping near Miami means leaving the coastal grid for inland sites or closer campgrounds up the coast. The wider radius is intentional.
Tables in city parks are usable in the morning and again after the heat breaks. Midday shade is the whole decision.
